I fell in love with Kristen's work on Instagram a few years ago and have now acquired four of her works. Not only is she a wonderful artist, she's also absolutely fantastic to work with. She's a great communicator; she's flexible; she's reliable; she packages her pieces carefully; she ships promptly; and as I've learned over the years, she is just a beautiful person.
I commissioned this painting of our current and past dogs for my partner. He said it was the best gift he has ever received. Working with Kristen was a true experience!! She and I worked together on an almost daily basis to make this very personal to my partner. It was amazing. She truly captured the essence of our dogs. We will cherish this painting forever. Thank you Kristen!
I had a wonderful time! There were daily watercolor lessons, both aboard the ship and in-port. All levels were welcomed and encouraged. Kristen Stone is a talented and kind instructor. The shipline chosen, Holland America, was a dream. Every whim was catered to. This was my 8th cruise and my 3rd international art workshop and now, my favorite vacation ever!

This is one of the most beautiful paintings that I have ever received. The colors are so vibrant and she has captured the essence of my boy Winston. The details are just incredible and it is definitely kitty approved!!! I can’t wait to find the perfect frame for it. Thanks again. 😻🐈
I had Kristen do a Commission for me of 3 places I had visited in Europe. Kristen was very willing to accommodate my special requests for each scene. She communicated extremely well throughout the process and sent me drawing before she started painting to be sure that I would like the result. She also sent me photos of many different views of the finished watercolors before she mailed them, again to make sure I was happy with the result. I am 1000% happy with the 3 watercolors. Kristen's work is very detailed and the colors are fantastic! The finished watercolors are even more spectacular in person than they appear on the website. I look forward to acquiring more of her art in the future!
This had the dual benefit of being a shared art learning experience and also a "Cruise Community" where we could compare notes and experiences as the cruise unfolded. I loved the experience of using my daily sketches as part of my "Travel Journal"

What do you give adult children? Shiloh is a rescue and my daughter has always described him as “One happy dog.” An easy title choice for this birthday gift that just can’t wait! Kristen kept me in the loop from preliminary sketches to all the steps in between. It was so fun being included in the artistic process. If you look closely, one book is titled “Shiloh.” Finishing touches around the room are items that have special meaning to my daughter. This will be a family treasure for years to come. I saw the West Highland Terrier on Kristen’s website and fell in love with it because we have a Westie named Gracie. Then I thought about my adult children (who also have pets) and how I never quite know what to get them for birthdays and holidays. Kristen totally captured the personalities of my son’s two Bengal cats - Mac and Octane. Pets are family and I sent Kristen far too many photos (which she didn’t complain about). She thoughtfully took the time to ask about my son’s hobbies and meaningful items that could be represented on the bookshelf. I love the whimsical vibe of birds on the pillows. Kristen kept me posted throughout the painting process, from initial sketches, ink proof of concept, to the finished piece. I was initially saving this for a birthday gift but I don’t think I can wait that long. A super fun gift for the giver as well as the recipient!
Not only is Kristen an incredibly talented artist; she's also a joy to work with. I've commissioned two watercolors from her, both of them depicting scenes that are very sentimental to me. She took extreme care to incorporate all my ideas and to keep my opinions in the loop as her work progressed, sending me photos for approval at each step. She also was surprisingly quick and shipped the work immediately upon completion -- which I appreciated because I was so excited to receive my new paintings! I wake up happy every morning looking at Kristen's art.

Kristen's attention to detail shows throughout this painting. It is truly magical! This was my first painting from Kristen, but it will not be the last painting I will purchase from Kristen. Packing and shipping were first-rate. I will post pictures when the framing is completed.
Kristen created this GORGEOUS commissioned painting for me from a smaller version she previously painted displayed on her website. It's obvious that Kristen loves not only to paint but to help others understand the painting process. Her educator side is so critical to a commissioned painting. At times, I didn't know how to convey what I wanted, and Kristen was amazingly adept at interpreting my non-artist observations and outlining how she proposed to reflect them. I'm absolutely thrilled with the painting! Kristen was also incredibly helpful in guiding me with the framing details, which my framer agreed were perfect for displaying this beautiful piece! When I look at this painting, I am on the streets of Rome with my umbrella in hand looking at the gorgeous window displays!

I had a wonderful time in this class. Kristen is an amazing teacher. She provides gentle helping instruction as you paint along beside her. I would highly recommend her classes to anyone at any level.
I ordered the Amalfi Coast painting from Kristian and she was nice enough to add a few sail boats in the distance..... beautiful painting !!! ...reminds me of the times I spent in Italy ......great texture and colors.....loved working with her......
I had the pleasure of meeting Kristen at the Marriott Desert Springs on a beautiful spring day. I was a little bit nervous about a one on one painting session, but Kristen put me at ease. She took time to explain why she choose a particular object to paint and why she choose her color choices she made. I would have loved just to watch her paint the beautiful picture but did attempt to paint, it showed me areas a need to work on and improve. I enjoyed learning about Kristen and her journey in the arts and I am truly in awe of her talent, no only her painting ability but also teach someone new in a way that they want to learn more. She has rekindled my love of watercolor painting.

Kristen worked with me to add so many personal touches to make this piece a particularly meaningful one. It’s so funny how I went from looking for art unsuccessfully for years, finding Kristen and loving her Hawaii paintings, initially thinking the Interiors series was out of my comfort zone, and then diving in for multiples from the series, including two commissioned pieces! It’s been a fun journey with Kristen!!! I never got the “art brings me joy” mentality before, but I get it now thanks to Kristen!
I am so in love with my very special painting! I feel extremely lucky to have found Kristen and to have had the experience of collaborating with her on this project. Not only is she an exceptionally talented artist; she is also a true professional and a delight to work with. She was an excellent communicator; she asked all the right questions; she cheerfully addressed every concern I had; she held to every milestone deadline. In fact, she made the process so much fun that I was kind of sorry when the painting was done! I would unreservedly recommend that anyone who loves their home commission one of Kristen's works. If I could give 100 stars, I would.
I bought this watercolor painting and several others from Kristen. They are absolutely gorgeous -- the online pictures do not do them justice! I was so taken with those watercolors that I ended up commissioning both a watercolor and an oil painting. Kristen was very collaborative throughout the process with each, which eased my tiny bit of anxiety with effectively buying art sight unseen. With each commissioned work, she sent me "previews" and tweaked the pieces in process based on my feedback. She was incredibly easy to work with and encouraging in soliciting my feedback to make sure she captured my "vision" for each piece. I have since bought two pieces from her newer series, which are entirely unlike the pieces I previously bought but gorgeous and fun and will add a whimsical touch to my guestroom. My only hesitation in writing this review is that I'm selfishly aware that I may be creating new fans who will compete with me for Kristen's artwork!
