I’m enjoying my new Stillman And Birn Beta sketchbook. It’s a 3.5” x 5”, “purse size”, book. I like that I can paint across the middle and it lays flat nicely. I’ve been experimenting with different combinations of Rembrandt watercolors to see which colors pair best with this paper! I like to paint with a rich palette of transparent and semi transparent colors!
Why sketch? Because creating these small sketches helps me to think through compositions and colors for large paintings. Laguna Beach, California
